PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT HELD


NOVEMBER 19, 1999


The public presentation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed Hope Country Club Housing Development in St. Andrew was held yesterday, (November 25), at the Jamaica College Auditorium. The presentation was done by representatives of Environmental Science and Technology Ltd. (ESTECH) who prepared the EIA on behalf of Selective Homes and Properties Ltd. 

The public presentation is a discretionary requirement of the EIA review process which allows for feedback from the public.   The public is being reminded that written comments regarding the project should be submitted to the Permit & Licence Secretariat, NRCA, 10 Caledonia Avenue, Kingston 5 by December 25, 1999.    

 Copies of the EIA are available for public scrutiny at the Kingston & St. Andrew Parish Library, 2 Tom Redcam Drive, Kingston 5; Kingston & St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) 24 Church Street, Kingston; NRCA’s Documentation Centre, 10 Caledonia Avenue, Kingston 5; Ministry of Environment and Housing, 2 Hagley Park Road, Kingston 10; Scientific Research Council Library, Hope Gardens; Hope Zoo, Hope Gardens; Environmental Science and Technology Ltd. (ESTECH) 14 Carvalho Drive, Kingston 10 and Selective Homes and Properties Ltd., 18 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 10.
