PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF HOPE COUNTRY CLUB ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT

The Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA) has decided that there needs to be a public presentation by the proponents of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed Hope Country Club Housing Development in St. Andrew.  The decision was taken at the Authority’s monthly meeting on Thursday, November 18 following a presentation to the Authority by the proponents.

Copies of the EIA are available for public scrutiny at the Kingston & St. Andrew Parish Library, 2 Tom Redcam Drive, Kingston 5; Kingston & St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) 24 Church Street, Kingston; NRCA’s Documentation Centre, 10 Caledonia Avenue, Kingston 5; Ministry of Environment and Housing, 2 Hagley Park Road, Kingston 10; Scientific Research Council Library, Hope Gardens; Hope Zoo, Hope Gardens; Environmental Science and Technology Ltd. (ESTECH) 14 Carvalho Drive, Kingston 10 and Selective Homes and Properties Ltd., 18 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 10. 

The EIA was prepared by ESTECH on behalf of Selective Homes and Properties Ltd. the joint venture partners involved in the project with the Ministry of Environment & Housing.

The public presentation is a discretionary requirement of the EIA review process which allows for feedback from the public.  At the presentation, the proponents will provide information on the proposed development and respond to questions from the public The public has a period of thirty (30) days after the public presentation to submit written comments regarding the project to the Permit & Licence Secretariat, NRCA, 10 Caledonia Avenue, Kingston 5.
