NEPA HOSTS WORLD TOURISM DAY EXHIBITION

 

For immediate release

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Sport will host an exhibition in honour of World Tourism Day, Friday, September 27, 2002 under the theme “Ecotourism and Sustainable Development.” 

The exhibition will be open for public viewing in the Reading Room of the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Library, 2 Tom Redcam Drive, Kingston 5 from Friday, September 27, 2002 at 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.  The exhibition which will focus on the use of protected areas in ecotourism can also be viewed from 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September, 30, 2002.

World Tourism Day is being observed as one of the special activities to mark Tourism Awareness Week which is being celebrated from Sunday, September 22, 2002 to Sunday, September 29, 2002.

NEPA invites all members of the public to visit this exhibition and show support for the activities to mark Tourism Awareness Week.
