  NEWS RELEASE - July 08 , 2005

                                               Crocodile Alert!

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is advising the public to exercise extreme caution in areas close to swamps, wetlands, and gullies due to the recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding caused by Hurricane Dennis.

Persons are also advised to avoid bathing in or near these areas as crocodiles are likely to move with flood waters and may be found in areas outside of their original habitat.  Please note that the public is being cautioned not to feed the crocodiles

The public is being reminded to contact NEPA at either 754-7540, or 1-888-991-5005, or the nearest police station, in the event crocodiles are seen outside of their habitat.

Crocodiles are protected under the Wild life Protection Act; IT IS THEREFORE ILLEGAL TO KILL, CATCH, OR MOLEST THEM.
