DREDGING AND RECLAMATION PROGRAMME IN
The R1 bund preparation
continues:.
Monitoring trips
were carried out on the following dates:
Tuesday 11th December: Observing the initial dredging
operations connected with the preparation of thew R! Bund.
Wednesday 12th: Dredging begins
Thursday 13th
December: Monitoring of
activities by sea. Water samples collected and field measurements made: Photographs
taken. Analytical results of
samples taken not yet available.
December 24th: Aerial flight for dredge barge
inspection carried out
Pictures taken
Minimal plume seen
to south of dredge - approx 30m long
Larger area of discoloured water seen around end of pipe at dump site /
bund inside
No screens visible -
these were supposed to be an important part of the license granted by NEPA
