NEPA goes cashless for 2013 Lifeguard Examinations

April 3, 2013

This year the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) will introduce a cashless system for its annual Lifeguard Examinations. The system is aimed at making payment for the examination safer and more convenient for candidates.

The 2013 Lifeguard Examinations season will commence April 15-19 in Montego Bay, St James.

Fees may be paid, prior to the date of the exam, at any branch of Scotia Bank. Candidates are required to take a copy of the payment voucher to the exam site.

In keeping with the new cashless system debit card payments may also be made at exam locations. Cash payments WILL NOT be accepted at exams.

Candidates are reminded that the examination fee is $800.00 for renewals, and $1000.00 for new applications. There is also a fee of $2,000 for the Lifeguard License issued to successful candidates on the day of the exam.

Lifeguard Examinations are also scheduled for May 27-31 in Discovery Bay, St. Ann; June 27 in Papine, St. Andrew; and September 16-20 in Negril, Westmoreland. Examination details are available at NEPA’s website: www.nepa.gov.jm.
