Bird Shooting Season Remains Closed

The Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA)/National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is advising the public that the Game Bird Shooting Season is not yet opened; therefore, no one is permitted to commence bird shooting.

The Game Bird Shooting Season is regulated by NEPA under the Wild Life Protection Act; therefore, persons found guilty of breaching the Act will be liable to a fine not exceeding $100,000 or twelve (12) months imprisonment.

Members of the public are therefore being asked to report any bird shooting activity observed during the closed season, by contacting NEPA at 754-7540 or 1 888 991 5005 or the Police at 119.
