Bengal Beach is located in Discovery Bay, St. Ann, close to the Trelawny border.
The beach, which is approximately 500 metres long, forms part of a natural harbour and is characterised by fine grey sand and cobblestones. The Rio Bueno empties along the western portion of the beach. Backshore vegetation includes white mangroves, black mangroves, red mangroves, coastal grasses and West Indian almond.
Parking is available and can accommodate several large vehicles.
The area is currently in its natural state, so there is no existing infrastructure to facilitate recreational use. There are no food services on the beach.
At the beach, patrons can enjoy swimming and strolling. Beachgoers can visit the nearby Discovery Bay Marine Laboratory and River Rapids Jamaica.
