Coral Gardens Beach is located along the North Coast Highway within the Coral Gardens community. The beach is located on the outskirts of Montego Bay and approximately 10 minutes away from the Sangster International Airport.
The beach is located in a bay and is comprised of fine grain white sand. The shoreline is dominated by cobble stones of all shapes and sizes. Sections of the nearshore are comprised of rock or old reef formations that protrude from the sandy areas of the beach near the high water mark. There are small sand dunes in the backshore.
The beach has several trees on the property as well as coastal grasses. Trees include West Indian almond (Terminalia catappa), seaside mahoe (Thespesia populnea). Seagrass beds are located within the swim area.
The beach can be accessed directly from the North Coast Highway. There is no designated parking, however there is a grassy area that can accommodate several vehicles.
There are no bathrooms or changing room facilities.
The area is fit for swimming. Patrons can enjoy nearby attractions such the Greenwood Great House, Sam Sharpe Square, Rose Hall Great House, Croydon in the Mountains and Chukka Eco Adventure Outpost.
