Flamingo beach is a public bathing beach located on the former main road approximately 1.2 km from the eastern most border of the parish.
The natural sediment of the beach is medium to coarse grains of light brown coloured sand, with a gentle consistent slope. Some sections of the nearshore are rocky (old reef formations), with stands of red mangroves (Rhizophora mangle) present. The beach is approximately 40 metres long with an average width of 6 metres. The backshore is sparsely vegetated with species of Seaside mahoe (Thespesia populnea) with the presence of an offshore coral reef and a large sea grass population in the nearshore.
The beach is accessed via the former main road. There is no designated parking, however there is space along the road to accommodate a few vehicles.
The beach is currently in its natural state, and outside of a large garbage receptacle, there exists no infrastructure or food services to facilitate recreational use.
The area can be used as a rest stop. Patrons may opt to visit nearby attractions such as the Flamingo Beach estates, Jamaica Swamp Safari, Glistening Waters, Joe Games Gallery and Blue Waters Beach Club.
