Success Beach is a public bathing beach located in St. Bran’s Burg, St. James. The beach is approximately 30 minutes from the Sangster International Airport by car.

Description & Environmental Features

The natural sediment on the beach is predominantly light brown, medium grained sand. The beach is very narrow and is approximately 160 metres long with an average width of 8 meters. The backshore is vegetated with seagrape (Coccoloba uvifera) and Seaside mahoe (Thespesia populnea). Seagrass beds exist within the nearshore area and extends seaward. There are also a few derelict structures on the property.

Accessibility and Parking

The beach is located at the end of a marl road that is accessed directly off the A1 main road. There is no designated parking, however there is space along the road to accommodate a few vehicles.

Amenities

The beach is currently in its natural state, and there is no existing infrastructure to facilitate recreational use.

Things to do

The beach can be used for recreational activities outside of swimming or wading. Patrons can explore the Greenwood Great house which is located less than 12 minutes away from the beach. Nearby restaurants and accommodation includes Marriott Sea Castles Penthouse, Hilton Rose the Queen G’s Restaurant, Spicy Hill Restaurant and Sports Bar, Chill Out Hut and Father Bull Restaurant.
